Family trips
Trips that work with children and with older parents: gentle underfoot, low enough that altitude is not a factor, and short enough that mixed fitness levels are not a problem.
How this list was made. Nothing here was hand-picked. Graded easy, staying below 3,000 m, and four days or fewer. The 3,000 m line follows UIAA mountain-medicine guidance on sleeping altitude for children aged two to ten, so easy walking at greater height is still excluded. Every figure it uses is published on the page it came from, so if the data changes this list changes with it. 22 of our places currently qualify.
